Epsilon Foundation, the CSR arm of Epsilon Carbon Private Limited, has strengthened community healthcare delivery across Ballari district through a series of integrated health initiatives focused on prevention, early diagnosis and medical awareness.
As part of its school healthcare outreach, the Foundation conducted school health check-up and treatment camps across 12 government schools benefiting more than 2,000 children. By delivering essential primary healthcare services within school premises, the initiative enabled early identification of health concerns, supported regular attendance and contributed to students’ overall physical and academic development. The programme aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), addressing critical healthcare gaps in rural regions.
Extending its healthcare efforts beyond schools, Epsilon Foundation organised Diabetes Awareness, Testing and Treatment Camps across 15 villages in Sandur Taluk, in collaboration with the Government Health Centre, Vitalapur, and HelpAge India. Held around World Diabetes Day, the initiative addressed the rising burden of non-communicable diseases in rural communities.
The camps provided free diabetes screening, on-the-spot diagnosis, medical consultations and structured awareness sessions on healthy lifestyles, nutrition and long-term disease management. Special emphasis was placed on reaching vulnerable groups, including the elderly, women and individuals at higher health risk.
Commenting on the initiative, Vikram Handa, Managing Director, Epsilon Group, said, “At Epsilon, we believe that access to timely healthcare can significantly improve health outcomes, especially in rural communities. Through our school health programmes and diabetes camps in Ballari, we are prioritising early diagnosis, preventive care and sustained health awareness. These initiatives reflect our commitment to building healthier and more resilient communities.”
Collectively, these programmes underscore Epsilon Foundation’s focused approach to community health, combining on-ground engagement, partnerships and preventive care to improve healthcare access across rural Ballari. The Foundation remains committed to creating long-term impact by enabling healthier lifestyles and strengthening healthcare resilience in underserved regions.
