Juniper Green Energy has announced the commissioning of the 59 MWp/42 MW solar component of its 75 MW hybrid power project. The plant is located in Taluka – Karanja (Ghadge), District – Wardha, Maharashtra, 17 months before the scheduled commercial operation date.

The Juniper Green Power Five Project has a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) capacity of 75 MW, comprising 75 MW of solar power and 26.4 MW of installed wind capacity. The PPA was signed on 18 November 2024 with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). The Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) is 17 November 2026. The early commissioning of the solar component represents a step towards full operation of the hybrid project.

“We remain focused on accelerating India’s clean energy transition by consistently delivering reliable and sustainable power,” said Ankush Malik, CEO, Juniper Green Energy.

“This project highlights our support for Maharashtra’s renewable energy targets and our contribution to the green energy transition. Hybrid projects, combining solar and wind, are key to providing stable and reliable renewable power supply to the grid,” said Parag Agarwal, CFO, Juniper Green Energy.

Juniper Green Energy continues to develop and commission renewable energy projects across India. The commissioning of the Wardha plant follows the recent completion of the Chapalgaon Solar Project, which was commissioned 19 months ahead of schedule.
