SDGs are interconnected and the governments, businesses, civil society and academia must collaborate to share knowledge and resources and expertise to make the much needed progress.

Everybody is aware climate problems exist. The golden question is not about how do you create awareness of about climate problems, but how do we convert the awareness of these problems into action.

We should make sure that we continue to keep our focus on the poor and even leverage digital technology to improve the pace and accuracy of public service delivery even in remote areas.

Each rupee spent evenly across all 169 SDG targets achieves rupee seven of social benefits. If we focus on just the 40 best targets, each rupee spent would deliver about 21 rupee of social benefit.

It is very important for businesses to be inclusive. If businesses are inclusive, they will empower hundreds of millions of people to live a better life - and in the process also tackle the SDGs.

We work closely with companies globally and try to inculcate in them the value of compassionate corporate leadership so that they feel the suffering of children, people and the planet, and do the needful.

India is really showing by its own actions how this development path can actually lead to better outcomes, bring down the cost of energy, lead to clean energy and give energy access to people.

It is all about the private sector, which is both the engine and driver of the economy. It will be the key to achieving the SDGs. And that is not just in India, but in every country across the world.

Promoting equal opportunities and representation for women in leadership positions across all sectors is not just a moral imperative, but also a strategic business decision.
