The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI), Bengaluru Chapter, in association with Mitti Café, organised an inclusive job mela connecting over 110 persons with disabilities to employment opportunities across Bengaluru’s hospitality industry.

The event provided candidates with a platform to explore career opportunities and connect with prospective employers, reinforcing the hospitality industry’s commitment to diversity, accessibility, and inclusive employment.

Ananth Narayan, Chapter Head, NRAI Bengaluru, said, “The restaurant industry is one of the largest employers of young and diverse talent, yet there are sections of the workforce that continue to remain outside the industry’s hiring conversations. The Job Mela with Mitti Café is an effort to change that by putting talent and employers in the same room and allowing businesses to look beyond conventional hiring pools.”

The collaboration between NRAI Bengaluru Chapter and Mitti Café highlights the importance of collective action in creating equal employment opportunities. With participation from more than 30 restaurant brands, the initiative demonstrated the hospitality industry’s potential to create a more inclusive workforce.
