SolarFutures 2026: Next-Gen Solar India

The conference will focus on advancing India’s transition to a clean, resilient and self-reliant solar ecosystem, while spotlighting its evolution from domestic market to a global player. It will highlight efforts to strengthen domestic manufacturing, expand solar adoption, foster innovation and build a skilled workforce. The conference will also underscore India’s growing leadership on the global solar landscape, while promoting inclusive participation to ensure a broad-based energy transition.
The conference will convene a diverse range of stakeholders across government, industry, academia and the development sector. Key representatives from the Government of India will include institutions such as the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Indian Council of Agricultural Research – Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR–IARI), NITI Aayog, and the Startup India initiative. These will be complemented by technical and sectoral bodies such as the International Solar Alliance, Skill Council for Green Jobs, National Power Training Institute, Global Biofuels Alliance, and the National Solar Energy Federation of India.
The conference will also include participation from state renewable energy agencies, bilateral and international development organisations, and multilateral institutions, including United Nations organisations, alongside diplomatic representatives. The academic community will be strongly represented through leading scholars, research institutions and agricultural universities, fostering a comprehensive exchange of policy perspectives, technical expertise and innovation across sectors.
