
At a gathering that brought together stories from across the country, Times Now, in partnership with Adani, hosted the Amazing Indians Awards 2025 in New Delhi. Thirteen individuals were recognised for work that has changed lives and communities in fields including healthcare, education, the environment, and women’s rights.
Mansukh Laxmanbhai Mandaviya, Minister of Labour and Employment and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, delivered the special address. He spoke of people whose efforts take place far from the spotlight but whose impact is real and lasting. “Our nation’s true strength lies in the hands of countless unsung heroes whose contribution to society often unfolds quietly, far from the spotlight,” he said.
He added, “They have struggled, made efforts, and devoted their lifetime to bring change in their fields. These individuals work without expectation of recognition, yet their actions strengthen communities, inspire others, and uphold the values that have shaped India for generations.”
The event recognised Ramprasad Sarkar for work in agriculture, Dr. Tapesh Mathur in animal welfare, Raghu Narasingasa Hubballi in disability, inclusion and accessibility, Dr. Shiva Balak Misra in education and skill development, Deepak Vishwakarma in environment and sustainability, Dr. Issa Fathima Jasmine. M in food management and nutrition, Meera Satpathy in girl child and women’s rights empowerment, Kkanchan Gupta in healthcare, Ekta Viiveck Verma and Triveni Acharya in human rights and legal aid, Kuldeep Raj Saxena in rural and slum development, Rajasekhara Raju Podili in water and sanitation, and Ambika Patel in social innovation using technology.
The winners were selected through a nationwide screening process overseen by a jury comprising of Neerja Birla, Founder and Chairperson, Aditya Birla Education Trust; Padmaja Ruparel, Co-Founder, IAN Group; Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder and Executive Vice Chairman, Info Edge India ; Prasoon Joshi, Chairman, McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific and CEO & CCO, McCann Worldgroup India; and Ashish Kumar Chauhan, MD and CEO, National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. (NSE).
The jury agreed that the nominees’ impactful work made choosing a single winner challenging. Ultimately, the scale and maturity of their efforts guided their final decisions.
