Akvo Atmospheric Water Systems, a leader in water technology, announced the commercial launch of its Water-on-Want (WoW) initiative. Available for corporates in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, WoW introduces an OPEX-based Build Own Operate Transfer (BOOT) contract structure. This model allows businesses to access Akvo’s advanced water generation technology with no upfront capital expenditure (CAPEX).
After an 18-month pilot phase, the WoW initiative has been refined to offer a sustainable, cost-effective, and risk-free solution for companies to meet their daily water needs without the burden of infrastructure investment. The minimum daily water off-take is 500 litres per day (LPD), positioning Akvo as a leader in the corporate water solutions space.
The OPEX BOOT model removes the financial and operational risks typically associated with adopting new water technologies. In this model, businesses do not purchase equipment but instead pay a variable charge based on water consumption at a competitive per-litre rate. Akvo owns, installs, maintains, and operates the Atmospheric Water Generators (AWGs) throughout the contract period, ensuring a seamless, risk-free experience for clients.
