Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume, showcased its latest portfolio of alternate fuel tractors and sustainable farm technologies at Agrovision 2025, held in Nagpur. The event was graced by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Cabinet Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, and Patron of Agrovision, along with Chief Guest Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Cabinet Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development.

At the exhibition, Mahindra demonstrated its newest breakthroughs in clean and future-ready farm mechanisation, including, Built on Mahindra’s widely successful Yuvo Tech+ platform, this tractor offers operational flexibility by running on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Compressed Biogas (CBG), or in dual-fuel (Diesel–CNG) mode. This solution aims to reduce fuel costs and emissions while enhancing farm productivity.

Ethanol Flex-Fuel Tractor Engine

Mahindra introduced a pioneering flex-fuel engine designed to run on ethanol produced from sugarcane, maize, maize husk, stubble, crop residue, and other agricultural biomass. This innovation supports India’s transition towards biofuel-based rural energy systems.

Electric Tractor

Developed on the global lightweight Mahindra OJA platform, the electric tractor ensures significantly lower operating costs, superior torque delivery, and enhanced energy efficiency across multiple applications. It is also equipped with a fast-charging option to maximise uptime for farmers.

All the showcased technologies were developed at Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai, building on decades of advanced engineering and innovation leadership. These solutions place Mahindra at the forefront of India’s push towards sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture.
